GVB - Siemens Combino (13G/C1), 2099 (Samsung Galaxy S6 edge), tram 12, Molenwerf (Amsterdam)
Since yesterday there are four new advertisement trams in Amsterdam. All four Combino’s are advertising for the new Galaxy S6 edge smartphone of Samsung, but each tram has a different primary color: 2097 black, 2095 white, 2086 gold and 2099 green). So at this moment there are nine Combino’s with advertisement (2086, 2090-2093, 2095, 2097 and 2099) and most of them are running on tram lines 3, 4, 7, 9, 12 and 14.
The green 2099 in this picture is close to its terminus at Station Sloterdijk in the western part of Amsterdam. The current Sloterdijk station was opened in 1986 and previously the station (which was named Sloterdijk Zuid (South) when the new station was opened partially) was located at the right side of this photo. The track at the left side of the 2099 was part of the old terminus of tram lines 12 and 14 and nowadays it’s only used for photo stops etcetera. In the future a new tram stop will be built here, replacing the stops Haarlemmerweg and Kingsfordweg.
