Hide and seek
14/12/2016; December 14th 2016, it was supposed to be another evening in which the supermoon was going to be around. I even rented a telezoom lens for the idea that I had at the Ransdorper Toren, where the supermoon should have risen in the background.
For starters, I unfortunately completely underestimated the distance I needed for the telezoom lens to work (I was half a kilometer away from the tower, however I could still count the bricks at 200mm, let alone at 500mm...), and then depsite the weather forecast saying it was going to brighten up during the day, that sadly did not happen in an eastern to northeastern direction. Not to mention the fog that was around, making the tower barely to not visible from a distance in which I could have used the telezoom lens the way I wanted...
So all and all, I made this photo with my regular 16-85mm lens, that I carried with me just in case things were going wrong with the 200-500mm lens. Managed to get the tower and its reflection without any barriers (there was this farmer's bridge right behind me here) perfectly at 85mm, but at least I learned to not go hunting for the moon anymore when there's even the slightest chance of clouds. And that when the weather predicts bright conditions, I should go up somewhere high to prevent barriers from ruining my ideas.
