Whoopers unloaded from donor's jet

A company jet has been made available to transport 14 young whooping cranes from Maryland to southeast Louisiana. Sixty-three years ago, this endangered species numbered 22 remaining individuals. With recovery efforts, today nearly 600 birds exist (both captive and wild birds), but it remains the most endangered crane species in the world.
