Taken at the Britannia Mining Museum, Britannia Beach BC. These are two very large wheels made of metal. They are very rusty because when you leave large metal wheels outside for a long time, they get rusty. And they're made of metal, and they were left outside. For a long time.

 

I'm sure these ones were used for something important. It probably had something to do with rolling, or mining, or possibly rolling mining stuff around. I suppose it's possible that they're there to keep the concrete blocks from sliding away, but I think that's unlikely.

 

So if you have any large metal wheels, and you don't want them to get rusty, keep them inside. If you have large metal wheels that you've left outside for a long time, though, let me know and I'll come and take a picture of them too.
