I was not expecting to shoot the dark side of the mountain so I was not using a tripod. Thus this photo has a higher ISO and and less depth of field than I wanted.
Regardless of the technical compromises, I was surprised how fast the moon climbed above the horizon. I was hoping to see it roll down the mountain though!
