RCAF Boeing

Transports of the Royal Canadian Air Force were regular at Gatwick, operating into Europe as well as to North America,

I recall seeing Dakotas, Bristol170, Hercules and Canadair Yukons as well as these Boeings. Also I once saw a DHC Caribou flying over not far from Guildford. They had some Convair Liners too, but I never saw one.

They replaced the Yukons (a Bristol Britannia derivative) with five Boeing 707s which were originally ordered by the US carrier Western Airlines. This one is 13701.
