BEA Airtours
BEA Airtours started operating in 1970 with old BEA Comets and after a year or so these were gradually replaced by RR Conway powered 707s that previously flew with BOAC.
The carrier was set to acquire some more economical Boeing 707-120Bs from American Airlines but this was vetoed by the parent company no doubt to 'keep things in the family' and save a nationalised airline from spending more dollars.
This photo of G-APFG was made with the help of my first telephoto, a Soligor 200mm, but vignetting was quite a problem with it, but that's how it was back then.
