Jewel of the Humber
It was a spectacular summer day and the first time that I had been to Humber Bay for a long time, it had been a number of years in-fact. Many of you have posted pix from your outings to the Bay and I thought it was about time for me to see what I’ve been missing.
Thanks for the great tip.
I’m absolutely amazed how this area has changed. It has become a Jewel on Lake Ontario. Magnificent Architecture, Stunning Parklands, Awesome Views. But most of all, Humber Bay with its many walkways and nature trails offers a wonderland that must be experienced.
For anyone who loves the outdoors, anyone who loves to walk, hike or bike, it’s fantastic. The Adventure Trail starts at the south-end by Lakeshore Blvd., not far from the Humber Bay Bridge and continues north to Lawrence Avenue. It’s a great walk and if you want to get off the beaten track, there are plenty of opportunities to explore unmarked territory and experience nature at its finest.
I simply love the outdoors and have made it a project for this summer to complete the walk from top to bottom. So far, I’ve been to The Parklands, The Nature Garden, stopped off at The Humber Bay Bridge and hiked along the west side of the Humber River north to Bloor.
There is a photo op at every turn, so if you ever get to visit, make sure you bring your camera. You won’t want to miss this.
