wh'azzz up!

greetings flickr’ites, a little something to share with you from last weekend.

on a spectacular Saturday evening and after a scrumptious dinner on the outdoor Patio of the Grenadier Restaurant, we decided to take a walk to High Park Zoo and see what the animals were up to.

it’s a great little zoo, you can get up-close and personal with the creatures and even though most had already returned to their housing for the evening by the time we arrived, this one was still rarin’ to go, prancing ‘round the yard, showing off.

as you can tell, a real ham that absolutely loves the camera, loves to pose and entertain the crowd. this almost prehistoric looking creature was the hit of the show. it certainly caught my attention and definitely made our trip worth-while.

if you’ve never been, you’ve just got’a come and visit. High Park is a nature sanctuary in the midst of our great city. a paradise in a jungle of concrete and steel. more than 400 acres, 161 hectares in all, with many untouched nature trails and wild-life habitat including rivers, lakes and ponds. attracting more than a million visitors each year, Toronto’s High Park has become a favourite tourist destination for nature lovers from around the world.

just another reason why I call Toronto my home.
