yellow-bellied sapsucker

Yellow-bellied sapsuckers will drink from hummingbird feeders. They bore a series

of small holes, often in horizontal rows, in trees to drink the sap that collects. Some

people, fearing their trees will be harmed, kill the birds. That's a concept I am not able

to comprehend.
