160806-N-LV456-043 YOKOSUKA, Japan (August 6, 2016) – Crew members of USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54) demonstrate firefighting gear as part of Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka’s annual Friendship Day celebration. More than 50,000 people participated in the open base event highlighting the friendship between the U.S. Navy and the host nation of Japan. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 83 tenant commands, and 24,000 military and civilian personnel.
