Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, Hammond, LA.

It was built in 1876 on In 1876, Charles E. Cate donated $500, bricks and lumber, and the land for the construction of the city's oldest church. It was consecrated in 1888 in dedication to his wife, Mercy "Mertie" Ann Cate, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. The first mass was held on March 12, 1876 by Bishop Joseph Wilmer. The first rector was Rev. Herman Duncan.
