The former Father Flanagan’s Home for Boys will soon have will soon have new life as a boutique hotel on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans thanks to the Palmisano Group.
Originally built in the early 1800’s as two adjoining Creole townhouses and a three story service building, it was most recently operated as the Girls and Boys Town of Louisiana but has been vacant for several years.
Renovation of two townhouses include the addition of a 3 story stair tower and 1 story fire pump room. The hotel will have 19 rooms with a new kitchen, bar and conference/dining room in the midst of the booming musical destination of Frenchmen Street. Courtyard improvements will enhance the architectural features and historic millwork, and feature a fountain, landscape planters, a slate tile courtyard, and a new perimeter fence.
