The Covington Trailhead marks the beginning of a 31-mile paved trail called the Tammany Trace, which connects the cities of Covington, Abita Springs, Mandeville, Lacombe and Slidell. Located at 419 N. New Hampshire St., the Trailhead is within walking distance of all the downtown shops and restaurants. Resembling an old-fashioned railroad station, the site includes a clock tower, an amphitheater, a grassy knoll for audience seating, a covered marketplace, rest rooms, water fountains, a museum / visitor's center and a small movie theater.
