Week 30 of 52 **Explored**
[30:52]
But tell me, did you sail across the sun?
Did you make it to the Milky Way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated?
Tell me, did you fall from a shooting star –
One without a permanent scar?
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?
-----
So this week's photo is a bit of an interesting collaboration between Photog*Scott and myself. I had sent him the RAW image of this photo and he went ahead and processed it in his style, and sent the photo back to me.
I then took the original RAW file and processed it, trying to blend his style with my own. I find his version is starker than my own, and the tones a little cooler. I tend to favour warm orange and yellow lights where his has more contrast. I thought it was an interesting exercise, and obviously my own PhotoShop skills pale in comparison, but it was fun to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new.
I loved the original photo and playing around with it was an added bonus. The photo posted for this week's photo was shot and processed by me, but if you're interested in seeing Scott's version, check out the first comment below.
Thanks to Scott for pushing me out of my comfort zone and encouraging me to try new things with post-processing!
Hope you have all had a good week!
(Also, Flickr changed the way we tag! That was so frustrating this morning, has anyone else noticed this?)
