Another cold freezing day in Ottawa, I heard somewhere throughout the day that today was the coldest day we've had in 8 years. I hope it's another 8 before we face a day like today again, but the Weather Network is warning me that tomorrow is looking to be just as bad.
My story for today falls under the "only you" category.
Every Monday and Wednesday morning I attend a French class which is a walk just over 2km. Normally it's not too bad, but with the freezing temperatures and the winds we've been having, it's been a bit of struggle to find the motivation to go.
So today, I finally put my brave face on (and a ton of layers) and started the walk. When I was about 3 blocks from my destination, feeling the cold burn through my legs and face, a man who wasn't looking where he was going bumped into me spilling his (boiling hot) coffee all over my legs.
Looks like I may have a second degree burn on my thigh now.
I had to run the last three blocks, that feeling of burning cold, to burning hot to absolutely burning cold was too much. I really thought I was going to be sick from it.
The worst part of the whole thing was the guy didn't even apologize. I yelled some not so lady like things at him as I ran away, but really? If you're going to not watch yourself, at least apologize when you dump your coffee all over someone.
After work this evening, I made some French toast for dinner and tried once more to get a picture of Fyero for this project. I'd like to try and get at least one a month of her and January has almost passed us by. Luckily, with Nard's help I was able to get a not so bad photo of her.
And on a final note; is Flickr still acting up for people? It wasn't working well last night and seems to be continuing on today, or is that just me?
