I was chasing a woodpecker as the sun was going down this evening when I rounded a corner and was struck by the light hitting these flowers.

 

So of course I stopped and grabbed a couple shots before continuing the chase.

 

Good thing I stopped because that woodpecker was not cooperating and was not willing to be my model today.

 

Oh well, you win some, you lose some!
