Waking Up
April 29, 2016
Woodnote:
[woo d-noht]
noun
1. a wild or natural musical tone, as that of a forest bird.
-----
The forest floor is starting to wake up, the green is starting to take over once again, and while the change is probably a little too slow for my taste, it is refreshing to see colour in our landscapes once again.
Took this at the Derby Hill Bird Observatory in Mexico, NY. The place was really nice, although with the time of day we went there were not a lot of birds to be seen.
We ventured into the wooded area, but the trails were so poorly marked that it was difficult to maneuver around.
We did okay, found a few things and then ventured back to the car.
All in all, not a bad day away from the office.
Hope everyone has had a good day.
