Gooseberry Falls State Park
The cars give this one away. This postcard is from the 1960's and shows the building along the highway that was the gift shop and interpretive center at Gooseberry Falls State Park in Castle Danger, Minnesota (north of Two Harbors).
The CCC originally built this building as the "Falls View Refectory" but it eventually evolved. It wasn't far from the Upper Falls.
I seem to remember the building having some roof leakage issues in the late 1980's/early 1990's and they closed it. In 1996, a brand new Visitors Center opened closer to the Middle and Lower Falls.
The "Falls View" building is still there and may be being used for storage but the public can no longer go inside.
