Somethings in life are a dime a dozen. You've seen one you've seen them all. Nurse logs and stumps are not one of them. Each having its own unique characteristics. Now I might be a bit bias, but I happen to believe the world's greatest collection of nurse logs and stumps can be found in the forests of the Pacific North West. This particular stump can be found along the switchbacks leading up to Lake Twentytwo on Mount Pilchuck.
