Keep The Record Spinning
Camera: Minolta X-700
Film: Kodak Ektar 100
Scanning color negatives is turning out to be much more challenging than I thought. I spent much of my free time today combing flickr and googling tips and tricks on better workflows for scanning. Unlike my black and white scans which I am extremely happy with I have found the color tones to be difficult to control with my Canon 8800F scanner.
Much of the issue seems to be my lack of knowledge and experience overall. For a long time I avoided most post processing work, in fact when I was shooting exclusively in digital I hardly ever did any post work. As such this is a new adventure for me, and in many ways it gets overwhelming quick.
I chose to upload this photo tonight because it is one of the few from my recent roll which turned out well. It's a reminder that I just got to keep the record spinning, continuing to push myself to work at it. Scanning seems to be more of an art form that I realized, and masterpieces certainly are not completed in a day.
