Cleveland Cooperative - 1988

The Chicago & North Western’s Green Bay to Butler train GBBUA is passing the old Cooperative buildings that once stood at the end of Hickory Street in Cleveland, Wisconsin. – This October 7th, 1988 scene has such a great small-town in the Midwest look to it, and from the signs I can see that at the time this was a John Deere dealership as well as a “Trust Worthy” Hardware Store, which was a chain that I don’t remember having many locations at all in Wisconsin. -- That old grain elevator, Hardware Store and the C&NW rail line that used to run past it through town are now all gone. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©
