Diversity - Lavel III

You goal for the final solution is to achieve the highest possible Diversity score. Ideally, this would be a score of 36 achieved by have at least one cube face of each of the six colors used appearing on each of the six surfaces of the final assembled cube. The one shown above is not the “Best Solution”. This is a substantial challenge. Warning, given the distribution of colors a perfect score of 36 might NOT be possible. The highest score I have achieved so far is 31.

The cubes are folded squares with from 0 to 2 flaps extended. The flap is folded into an adjacent cube to make the hinged connection. Three or four cubes are hinged together to make each piece. There are seven pieces. Colored rectangles are folded into pockets on each face. An alternative would be to print or color all faces on the paper that makes the cubes before folding.
