Leo and Conjunctivitis/blepharitis
yesterday we vent to vet to check his eyes, because in the last few days we saw that his eyes were swollen.
Vet. performed a microscopic examination of scrapings of the eye for cell identification, checked eye pressure, etc..
He has a conjunctivitis and blepharitis. Vet think the cause cand be herpes virus or allergy (she thinks this is most probable because of his cough and itchiness)
We have to treat him for a week with a ointment 3 times a day, we have to put that oinment in the eyes and on the eyelids.
poor baby, he doesn't love this treatment and try immediatly to clean his eyes with his paw.
The problem is that allergy has completely different treatment than herpes virus. We hope to solve eyes problem, than leo will start a hypoallergenic diet for two months to try to see if he has an alimentary allergy.
