Todays daily shoot challenge was to show indicators ~ a little lateral thinking here! The grave is that of Edward Bates Cowey the 1st president of the Yorkshire Miners Association. The use of the grave and the wintery tree indicates the changing seasons of the earth, the cycle of life and death and the changing landscape I live in. Everywhere are reminders of Yorkshire's mining past but no mines are left.
