st mary's, ayston

St Mary's is situated within the ancient hamlet of Ayston. It is a redundant church but it is still consecrated. Until the Churches Conservation Trust took it into their care it was in a sad state of disrepair, but after a renovation project costing £450,000 it re-opened in summer 2015.

St Mary's dates from the 12th century.
