cheyney court

Cheyney Court, Winchester.

Cheyney Court is 15th Century, and was once the Bishop's Court House. The ground floor is constructed of stone with an oversailing three gabled timber frame and plaster infill above and is a wonderful example of half-timber architecture. To the left is a wattle and daub building which was once the stables to the Court House and is now the Music Department for the Pilgrims School. The main house is currently the home for the Headmaster of the Pilgrims’ School.
