Canva - A Digital Tool for Work

Canva is a digital tool that I use frequently in work. My role as the full time Information Officer in the Clonmel branch also requires me to step into a leadership role and effectively manage the centre. I am on several working groups such as the Health and Safety team and the Thrive Workplace Wellness Initiative. Whilst on these groups I quickly realised that staff were not reading and taking ‘all staff’ emails on board. To help to combat this and relay information more effectively I have trialed creating posters and displaying the information visually on the canteen notice boards of the centres in my region. I have found this to be effectively so far as staff will look at the notices while waiting on the kettle to boil and often chat to other colleagues about their content. I use a free Canva account to quickly create colourful and eye catching posters without any extra cost to my organisation. The above is a poster that I recently created to advertise a new Health and Safety reporting email address.
