Claire's Cowl
So. I think the big chunky-knit cowl in the Outlander promo stills is a long circle-scarf, wrapped twice for coziness (and a brilliant silhouette in the context of the costumes work). This is hella frustrating, as it is what I would call "big chunky garter-stitch cowl," but this misses half the people actively looking for a big chunky garter-stitch cowl who will search "Claire cowl" and "Outlander knits" and things like that. Anyway, I have written a free quick pattern for it (the first entry on my new blog (link is themousearmymittenco.wordpress.com, and now? now I am afraid that the big chunky-knit cowl is a deep-not-wide garter cowl capelet thing, but when I look it sometimes seems like a capelet and sometimes not. Are there two? Or am I not seeing some definitive detail that would make me sure? Today I think there are two! But. THIS SEEMS LIKE A THING I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DISCERN PARTICULARLY ACCURATELY.
