not the most artistic shot i've ever take, but this scene from the state fair of texas said a lot to me about our health these days. i had no intention of making a statement, this alignment just caught my eye--and let's face it, the state fair is definitely circled on gluttony's calendar. yet we continue to push the envelope on what insane thing can be fried next. when i was a kid, we thought of someone with a bit of a beer belly as fat. but now buying two seats on a plane, needing a "power chair" to cart your behind around wal-mart or being surgically removed from your sofa is the new standard. i'm no posterboy for physical fitness myself. but it is a bit scary, isn't it?
