nestor Digital Long-Term Archiving
On the basis of a memorandum of understanding, the competence network “nestor” is developing training measures with regard to digital long-term archiving. Together with other European experts, information scientists at the FHP are also working on issues pertaining to long-term archiving and availability of digital sources. These include seminars, the yearly nestor school and a handbook. Students of the FHP and other institutes of higher learning in Germany and Switzerland have also developed several e-learning tutorials on long-term archiving. The tutorials were developed by means of the e-learning platform Moodle and shall be implemented as part of curricula.
