Speedway was staged at Milton Keynes Stadium (or Groveway), in the Ashland district of the new town, between 1978 and 1988. The venue opened for greyhound racing in 1963. Milton Keynes Stadium, which also hosted stock car racing, closed in 2005. After a fire, it was demolished. Since 2014, a housing estate - specifically a road, Wetheringsett - has occupied the site.
