Something Fishy
A 1:32 scale model of 'Fishershill', a steam tug built in 1946 and which, after sale and renaming from 'Empire Hilda', worked until 1968 in the Barrow docks system for James Fisher & Sons. She was scratch built by Furness Model Boat Club treasurer and founder member David Jacques, who spent about a year on the project. 'Fishershill', 42 inches long, is seen on Barrow Park lake during the fourth of five 2017 regattas staged by the club, which was founded in October 1996 and celebrates its 21st anniversary this year.
