Sweet Mother's Milk
On the island of Bali, the long-tailed macaques like to hang around near humans as they often are given a bite to eat. You often see them around temples, I came across them at Ulluwatu temple. They spend their time rummaging on the temple walls and watch to see if they can pinch some delicacy from the tourists. One of the young macaques filched the hair elastic from a girl walking in front of me in split of a second and tore it to pieces in a spectacular performance.
This curious little monkey, staring at me with wide eyes while sucking breast milk, is perhaps one of my favorite photo.
Balin a hosszú farkú makákók szabadon élnek, de szeretik az ember közelségét, mert nagyon sok jutalomfalatban részesülnek. Sokszor látni őket a temlomok környékén, én az Ulluwatu templomnál találtam rájuk. A templom falain kurkászással ütik el az időt, fél szemmel mindig azt lesve, nem tudnak-e valamit lenyúlni. Az egyik fiatal makákó az előttem sétáló turista lány hajgumiját egyetlen szempillantás alatt rabolta el, majd látványos performance keretében tépte darabokra.
Ez a kíváncsi kis majom, aki tágra nyílt szemekkel néz rám, miközben anyatejet szop, talán az egyik kedvenc fotóm.
