Village of Trøllanes
'Trollanes means ‘Foreland of Trolls’.
Tradition says that the village has that name because trolls visited it on Twelfth Night (6th of January) every year. The trolls swarmed in to the village and it was so terrible that the villagers decided to leave for Mikladalur while it was going on'.
