"Most popular and innovative pharma company" in Africa. Read more here:

Hoffmann-La Roche (“Roche”), headquartered in Switzerland, is one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. It also owns Genentech Inc., USA, a leading biotechnology company and has a controlling stake with Chugai, Japan, a pioneering discoverer of many important pharmaceutical compounds.

The image shows Felix Abt, Roche’s resident Regional Director West Africa, and members of his team, after having been voted “most popular and innovative pharmaceutical company” by medical doctors at a medical congress in West Africa. (Roche did not influence the outcome of the vote in any way).

At that time Roche had the 3rd largest market share in West Africa (whereas the Roche group’s worldwide ranking was no. 12). Felix Abt explained his business model in Switzerland's leading daily Neue Zürcher Zeitung: felixabt.com/barefoot pharmacists.html
