The soil sample is later analyzed in the laboratory to determine the soil nutrients levels including macro and micro nutrients, soil PH and organic matter content. This data is critical for understanding crop suitability, the spatial distribution of yield gaps and targeting agricultural investment. Overall the information integrated together with household and agricultural survey informs the tradeoffs and synergies between agricultural productivity ecosystem services and human well-being in Rwanda.
