Hand Bag and Kitchen Lighter
On 12.12.2024 it turned 3 years since my Wife passed away. I could have posted a different picture, but this series stuck in my mind. I spent some time searching for them in my back up files. Today i found it and selected this one in particular. We were about to go out shopping, the sunlight hit her bag on the handmade rug my Mum made. Fon was a smoker , John Player Blue. Her lighter had run out so she grabbed the kitchen lighter. Being too long it stuck out of her little hand bag. A fine example of her ability to adapt. 30 and 3 years later i am still trying to adapt to living with her and now without her.
This is a prime example of the power of photography, the ability to time travel with a visual memory. A sweet and sour treat to kick the brain cells into synapse overload triggering an emotional cascade. I pray the great algorithm in the sky really is bug free.
