Wasp & Darner

I was taking pictures of this Darner when a wasp came in and attacked it. It looked as it stung the Darner twice around the terminal appendages. The Darner quickly flew away after curling its abdomen. I am not sure about this Darner's ID. Seen in Muddy Brook in South Burlington,VT. The wasp is an Eastern Yellowjacket (Vespula maculifrons) and the darner is a male Lance-tipped Darner (Aeshna constricta). Thank you Ben Coulter for the id's.
