Castle Beach Fire Department is proud to announce the delivery of the brand new Rescue 1, which replaces the 2021 Seagrave/SVI which will receive a refurbishment from SVI before it is assigned as a reserve rescue for the department. Rescue 1 is the primary heavy rescue for the Central and North Bureaus and is assigned to all confirmed structure fires, technical rescues, and other incidents where the IC deems their services needed. Because of the many disciplines that the rescue company is trained in, the rescue apparatus committee went with a different design that focused not only on carrying the appropriate tools, but also being able to access the gear quickly and efficiently. The walk-in space is setup for three firefighters and the various suits they need for any situation including fire, rescue, hazmat, dive, high angle, confined space. Charging ports are found throughout the walk-in space for all the special meters. The walk-in portion does not extend to the whole body as the front two compartments were reserved for long tools and equipment, much like recent Squad 5. Rescue 1 is staffed by 6: Captain II, Apparatus Operator (who drives the rescue platform), top member, inside member, outside member, and irons.

2025 Seagrave Marauder II/SVI 28’ walk-in heavy rescue
