Squad 9

Squad 9 arrived on #SquadSaturday! Squad 9 was established to help alleviate the number of calls that Squad 5 was responding to. Due to the enhanced role of this company, it was decided that the new engine will be called Squad 9 instead of Engine 9. The rig will be carrying a full set of Holmatro extraction equipment, Hazmat equipment, and medical equipment in addition to the standard engine company tools and hoses. The apparatus committee first looked at purchasing a used rig due to the cost-effectiveness of such a purchase. In so doing, the committee was able to find this rig that matched what the department required!
