Melanie and I, lets just say are very enthusiastic Indian food eaters and critics. Having lived and worked in Whitechapel we have been spoiled by Brick Lane and we have our favourites dotted around the country such as Chapati Cafe in Salford or the Bombay Bustle and Khans (You have to try their Chicken Jalfrezi) in London or the best of all time, Green Gates Indian Restaurant Merchantcity in Glasgow. We went for brisk winter walk along the White Cliffs and ended up looking for a curry! We tried the Old Swingate Inn just because it was close but we walked in and walked out, no atmosphere and looked very jaded and what was on the table, no thanks. So we ended up driving to Coppers in Hythe, great reviews and now we are talking, great atmosphere, fabulous genuine food and great owners, we shall go again. And the walk was fab too! Will be making my famous Tarka Dhal this weekend too......
