Ightham Mote and part of a wonderful day out.
Melanie and I took Bank Holiday Monday and ran with it! We walked a section of the Greensand Way and ended with a late afternoon tea at Ightham Mote looking over the High Weald. Ightham Mote is one of our favourite NT properties having both visited with our families from before we met and many times since. We then stayed around Ightham visiting KWT's smallest nature reserve at Ivy Hatch and a walk around Olbury Hill until the best pub in England opened, The Old House. Straight home, no, an Indian at the Curry on the Hill at Charing and a superb Chicken Pubally, Chicken Naga Phaal, Bhindi Bhaji, Aloo Gobi, Chana Palak, and lots of Garlic Naan and of course, Popadoms and chutneys.
