Day 6: Beyond the treaty Line!..... Second Beach, La Push, Washington.
Over the next wee while I'm in danger of boring you to death with shots from this location. At the start of our holiday we didn't know where we were going to finish, we'd thought about the North Cascades but in the end we returned to La Push, one of our favorite areas from our journey and we were glad we did because we were treated to the most spectacular and moving sunset enhanced by this magical setting. This however is a shot from our first visit and I hope when I get around to posting the ones from the second visit that they will do it justice, but for the time being watch out for the Vampires.
The walk from this beach takes about 20-30 minutes through pitch black rainforest.... and I mean black, not black like we get in the UK, where there is always some kind of light even if only from stars. Not here, this is like walking through a mine... scary, especially when you're not used to a countryside with Bears, Cougars, Vampires and Werewolves!
