Farmer Field Schools
The Farmer Field School (FFS) approach is promoted by FAO projects in Burundi. This approach aims to build farmers' capacities through the process of learning by doing, observation, experimentation and discovery in their own fields.
This picture was taken on Sampeke hill, in Kayogoro commune, Makamba province (southern Burundi), as part of the project which supports the improvement of resilience capacities of vulnerable populations most affected by the effects of the multifactor crisis in Burundi (OSRO / BDI / 502 / EC) implemented by FAO and funded by the European Union.
