The Blindness of the World

Tonight I decided to meditate on blindness ...

Every day we rely on others' work to live. When we turn on the light, do not remember the Thomas Edison and his effort to bring us the light bulb, much less men working in the electric power companies to keep electricity flowing smoothly. When - sleepy - take the bus at 7 am did not realize that the driver is awake since 4 am in the morning to provide this service for a worker who woke up at 5am. This is just ONE example of the thousands who find, and at least should make us realize how complex life is, which is much more than your belly button or their families. Unfortunately, most times we are blind to this reality and in extreme cases are insensitive even to what we see, hear and play within our own homes. Blind to the sorrow of his brother, the mother's cry, the difficulties experienced by our maid, father, friend, boss ...

And the blindness is to show how sensitive we are, how beautiful the world can be when we give to open the senses to it. Blind, unable to see, develops other senses than just hearing, smell, touch and taste. Develop your intuition, and especially the heart.

Sometimes blinding us to the world, metaphorically speaking, to not having to see certain things we dislike. But it can also happen in times of tension, that reflect the physical. Is partially (as in amaurosis schacchistica , the chess blindness or entirely psychological as blindness, caused by a conversion disorder . The causes are clearly in the spirit (or mind, if you like), and the body - patiently - complies. We could take these examples to metaphysics to explain congenital blindness, with inherited traumas of other lives that reflect the mold perispiritual which will lead to the physical body, still in the womb.

Rather it is emblematic of everything that Jesus has come to heal the blind and raising the dead. As he himself said:

I came into this world for justice, so that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind. Some Pharisees who were with him heard this, they said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus answered them: If ye were blind, have no sin: but now ye say, We see your sin remains

(John 9:39-41)

The blind can live independently but need support especially created for him: a cane, guide dog , Braille books, reading software, sound signals, etc.. The company considers the blind a nuisance, a nuisance because in their blindness "shows" how the sidewalks are bumpy, the institutionalized disrespect for the citizens , motorists who run over in the crosswalk, the lack of infrastructure for the most Older or slower than "normal", etc.. Disabled are not "turn offs" in first world countries, and the technology for it exists, just wanting to spend more on the citizen than to the bankers ...

But what about us, that "we see", also do not depend on a special stand to live? Try removing all the perks we're used to from birth, and we'll see you lost! We live surrounded on crutches accessories that push us to a direction, a way of being. We are nothing other than a blind person, only the "Matrix" is more suited to those with the five senses. Only, being in possession of more senses does not mean you have more sensitivity or freedom. If you imagine for a moment completely blind. It's awful! The feeling of helplessness, despair ... after all, you never expect to go blind, you're not training the hearing, touch, you probably would not even know walk in his own home in total darkness. The abandonment caused by this situation makes us seek help us (finally) see the same.

I can not give

What already exists in yourself.

I can not give it

Another world of images

Beyond that there is in his own soul.

Nothing can give you unless

The opportunity, the impulse,

The key.

I will help make visible

His own world.

That is all.
