A beautiful morning spent mooching round Padley Gorge this morning and even brought the troops with me. Up at 6 and out the door by half past.

50 minutes later we arrived at Padley which was enveloped in the thickest mist I've ever seen. Lauren and Riley were very kind and stood about whilst I ran around like a daftie amongst the Sessile Oaks.

I settled in this one of a couple of trees clinging to the side of the gorge.

Within a few minutes the mist had all but gone and we made our way back up the hill, crossed the road and had sausage butties and a coffee at the cafe on the Longshore Estate.

A beautiful way to start our day.
