Idiot Box 22/52

Been thinking of more ways to use the crt of late. Had loads of ideas but most of them would involve props I can't get my hands on or can't afford.

This one came to me this afternoon.

Firstly I rigged up my camera on my light stand and did a few test shots. I had my Yongnuo flash set on manual and 1/4 power. Fired using my triggertrap app on bang mode, through my umbrella with my RGB torch set to red to add some shadow interest and a little colour. Few test shots later and moved through to the kitchen where my crt was set up. I noted the boundaries of the tv and the focus position and then refocussed for the rotate part. A few tests to establish that the rotate part didn't overlap the edge of my tv.

Back to the front room and opened the shutter and fired the flash. Capped the lens, refocused and moved to the crt. Hooked my camera up with my angle gauge and set my rgb torch to fade mode shining through my acrylic dome and rotated at 20 degree increments until I arrived back at square one.

Sooc.

Nice 1.

Don't forget to go and check out the www.Facebook.com/camerarotationtool .
