Presencias tutelares es un conjunto escultórico de hormigón armado y arcilla ubicado en la pampa de Chaca, en la intersección de la Panamericana Norte con la ruta A-31, a 27 kilómetros al sur de la ciudad de Arica, Chile.1 Obra del artista Juan Díaz Fleming, fue financiado por el Fondart Nacional del Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes en 1996, e inaugurado en el año 1997.12
El conjunto, que conmemora a las primeras culturas en asentarse en la zona, está compuesto por una estructura semiesférica con un espiral grabado llamada Los ancestros, y dos figuras verticales llamadas El origen de la estirpe, cuya forma es una abstracción del cuerpo humano.
Presencias tutelares is a sculptural group of reinforced concrete and clay located in the Chaca pampas, at the intersection of the Panamericana Norte highway with the A-31 route, 27 kilometers south of the city of Arica, Chile.1 Artist's work Juan Díaz Fleming, was financed by the National Fund of the National Council of Culture and the Arts in 1996, and inaugurated in 1997.1 2
The set, which commemorates the first cultures to settle in the area, is made up of a hemispherical structure with an engraved spiral called The Ancestors, and two vertical figures called The Origin of the Line, whose shape is an abstraction of the human body.
