Have you ever seen the Rain?
Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day? is a question that music lovers from the era of CCR would perhaps be able to answer with some solemn dignity.
As I Walked Out One summer Day on the backroads of Delhi, the gentle rain had almost disapperared leaving the the tarred road wet with a thankful whiff of the wet earth smell in the air.
While four wheeled contraptions hurried about with their loads of urban office goers and business men with their own predilctions clouding their visions, I was quite surprised to see a trail of nomads dressed in an odd mix of tribal finery and functional clothes. Some 15-20 beasts of burden laden with possessions and some other oddments like goats and dogs treading through the rain swept road.
The Nomads in India can still be seen trudging long distances as they try to make sense of a rapidly changing world around them. I have no idea is the road is weary and troublesome but it sure is uncomfortable. It is not a gentle art of tramping or a tough task of crossing rivers and wild forests now a days but walk they must and carry on donkey back their meager possessions and the beds for their sleep at night.
